Scam Opinion: Power Factor does NOT negate CFL bulbs energy savings. Summary: CFL light bulbs have a lower power factor (50% - 75%) than incandescent light bulbs (100%). Scam Opinion: It is possible that voltage levels affect energy efficiency. Scam Opinion: Negligible Savings by Power Factor Correction for most Consumers. Summary: The claims are appealing - Reduces Electrical Bills up to 25% or More Every Month! Pays for Itself in Less Than One Year! Increases Motor and Appliance Life! UL Tested and Listed! - but they are marketing hype - power factor correction does not change a consumer electricity bill.
