Every now and then I have the pleasure of being in a situation where I am reminded of how much we take for granted, and why the energy we save will make a difference to future generations.
It is my pleasure to introduce you to the The Blair Goodwin Gallery where I was introduced to Kathleen Goodwin and Richard Blair this past Saturday.
Kathleen grew up in South Africa, so I got to visit their delightful retreat perched at the top of Inverness Ridge which I strongly recommend to anyone seeking that special get away, and reminisce and enjoy the beauty of where I grew up through the lens of her camera. This photograph "Working Man's Pram, South Africa" is one of her exquisite collection of Africa Photographs
And the experience was only beginning. Richard's portfolio is no less impressive, spanning decades of time, a life committed to capturing the beauty of the world we live in.
It is not possible to include all the amazing works they have produced, but I cannot leave out their latest work Visions of Marin which they describe as follows.
Richard Blair and Kathleen Goodwin are thrilled to announce their new book, Visions of Marin, which arrived in early September. The 420 photographs in the book were chosen for their beauty and interest. It is the first comprehensive book to be published on Marin since1993. Reflecting Marin's panoramic vistas, the book is an oversize 9 by 12 inches wide, opening to 24 inches for dramatic 2-page spreads of landscapes. It contains 240 pages, all color, and is hardbound, with a protective matt-laminated dust jacket.
I encourage all our readers to visit the links included in this posting, and to remind themselves of the beauty we have been entrusted to protect!
