Thank you for thinking about commenting or joining the Open4Energy community.

When visiting Open4Energy as a Guest (anonymously) you always have access to all our content. But you are not able to e-mail our members (actual e-mail addresses are always confidential) or participate in our Forums. 

The web has unfortunately been infected with a small minority (often from outside our communities) who want to use information forums like ours to advertise undesirable products. They have forgotten that we are actually real people who would like to be spoken to in respectful and informed ways.

Our registration process, which includes a positive confirmation of your e-mail address, has been implemented to protect us all from these undesirable elements. But with a minimum of interference to honest participation.

We follow the model pioneered by facebook, and ask for you to enter your real first and last names, plus the city you live in. This information is only visible to approved members. Please note that membership is only offered to registers users, and after approval of their first content.

NB: We do allow you to select you own user name (handle) which is what guest readers will see. PLEASE be thoughtful about the user name you select. This is what readers will see as their first impression of you. We really would like it to be representative of who you are as a member of this community.
