The Open Energy Monitor Project
This is a project to develop and build open source energy monitoring and analysis tools for energy efficiency and distributed renewable micro generation. It makes it possible to do more than just use the technology, you can learn how it works from the physics of AC and DC electricity to electronic circuit design and software programming.

Black & Decker's Power Monitor is the instant and easy way to help control your energy consumption. The Power Monitor consists of two parts - a wireless transmitter that easily attaches to your electric meter, and a wireless hand held device that uses data from your electric meter to display information about your energy consumption.

Using information about your electric rates, you can track minute-by-minute changes in electric consumption as major appliances are turned on and off.

EcoDog
EcoDog’s FIDO Home Energy Monitoring System oversees energy use throughout the home, on a room-by-room basis. Using patent-pending algorithms, the software displays recommendations of ways in which the consumers can reduce their electric bills.

Energy Owl - Electricity Monitoring System
The Energy Owl E.M.S. simply "watches" your electrical meter using an optical sensor. The Energy Owl E.M.S. is available only for the newer digital - type electrical meters, specifically the Itron Centron. The Centron meter is the most popular digital meter for residential applications.

Google PowerMeter
Google PowerMeter is a free electricity usage monitoring tool that provides you with information on how much energy your home is consuming.
